Meet the NTI Team
Sean Williams is the President/CEO of Now Technologies, Inc. (NTI) with over 20 years of business experience and over 30 years of technical experience. Founder of Now Technologies in 1997, with the vision of focusing on State governments, local municipalities, and commercial clients in the MD-VA-PA-NC areas, Mr. Williams quickly grew from a startup to a multi-million company in less than 5 years. Over the years NTI has maintained a company emphasis on Network Operations, Network Engineering, Network Security, Microsoft Technologies, Help Desk (Tier I-III), and all aspects of Professional Information Technology Services.
In addition to his executive responsibilities with Now Technologies, Mr. Williams serves as the CEO of Now Applications, LLC; a software engineering company focused on providing unique and targeted software solutions to commercial and government organizations. By leveraging Now Technologies’ 20+ year history of delivering innovative technology solutions to its customers, Now Applications provides efficient assessments of legacy IT applications and develops budget-sensitive alternatives. We accomplish this by employing state-of-the-art rapid application development tools and methodologies to customize solutions that meet the unique challenges of our customers.
Mr. Williams obtained his Bachelors of Science in Computer Science from University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC) and holds a Master’s of Science in Computer Science from the John Hopkins School of Engineering. Aside from business and family, Mr. Williams is an avid Washington Capitals fan and a member of the Potomac Curling Club.
As Vice President at Now Technologies, Inc (NTI), Matt is responsible for day-to-day operations that include the commercial division and State/Local Government division; and contract vehicles throughout the State of Maryland and surrounding areas. Within the commercial division, Matt manages a team of IT professionals with skill sets ranging from Tier I to Tier III in support of small and medium businesses in the Baltimore/Washington region. Matt’s team provides on-site/remote support and technical consulting to a wide array of industries such as local and international labor unions, construction companies, accounting firms, business consultants, law firms, insurance agencies, mortgage brokers, medical practice, local government municipalities and police departments.
Matt Deskin, a native Marylander, grew up in a tech-savvy family and had a knack for problem solving at a young age. As a Systems Engineer, his knowledge and experience is in planning, implementing and supporting Microsoft Windows-based network infrastructures. With more than 15 years in IT consulting, his true passion has always been customer service. Matt is a friendly, outgoing professional that can sell with a smile, delivering cost-effective IT solutions for any business. In his free time, Matt loves a trip to the beach with his family. Some of Matt’s hobbies are singing, cooking, home improvement, skiing, playing and coaching softball. Grateful for an amazing group of family and friends, he’s always up for hosting a backyard barbeque.
LaVerne has 26 years of experience in human resources. She has worked for the Federal, State and Local government as well as the non-profit sector. She began her career in human resources with Marshall Heights Community Development Organization. Hired as the Office/Systems Administrator, she saw the need for the organization to better utilize the skills of the staff as well as give the employees an avenue to address their needs and concerns.
Coupled with her education and ability to learn quickly, adept to any environment, be a good listener, the ability to communicate with people, and an interest in organizational structure she was able to start-up two human resources units. Her diverse experience in human resources allowed her to land the Human Resources positions with Now Technologies, Inc.
LaVerne enjoys working with charitable organizations, bowling, attending Redskin games, spending time with family and reading.
As the administrative assistant and bookkeeper, Oksana Grekova is in charge of all administrative business including handling bills, payroll, insurance and various other accounting services.
Oksana has over 10 years of administrative experience, from her recent job at Slade Health Care as well as prior to that in Russia as an administrator and accountant for a product development corporation.
Oksana brings various skills with her such as strength in communication, organizational skills in office work and detail orientation.
She received her B.S in chemical engineering from Mendeleev University of Moscow, bringing with her international and cultural experience from the other side of the globe.
Outside of work, Oksana enjoys spending time with close friends, her family, playing piano and running and participating in races associated with charity organizations.
SMB Technical Team
Lead Systems Integrator
Now Technologies’ Lead Systems Integrator, James Wise, is responsible for systems infrastructure and design and escalation support for tickets. Specializing in Meraki, Microsoft technologies and Barracuda, James brings six years of IT industry experience and holds leading industry certifications, including MCSA and Security+.
Outside of work, James enjoys hockey, golf, scuba diving, and spending time with his two sons.
Now Technologies’ Systems Engineer, Greg Franzen, is responsible for rapid response to client issues and responding to alerts and automated notifications. Greg has 11 years of industry experience and holds A+, Net+, Security+, and CySA+ certifications.
Doug joins NTI with 25+ years of experience in the MSP industry, and we expect him to bring fresh ideas to our Managed Services Support Team. He has worked extensively within the broad scope of MSP services including handling desktop and peripherals support, network integrations, file systems and Exchange servers, data backups, domain services, etc. as well as implementing systems and essential procedures in operational management and leadership roles. In addition to the day-to-day responsibilities of Systems Engineer, Doug will be collaborating with the team on projects.
In his free time, Doug enjoys camping, golf, and is active in fitness and weight-training.
Dennis Bravo, Systems Engineer, has been in the IT profession for 20 years. As an experienced Systems Engineer, Dennis is highly skilled in network administration, systems administration, Technical support, managing network operations and enterprise wide-area networks across multi-platform, as well as high uptime Data Center environments. Outside of work, Dennis enjoys exercise, reading, and practicing spirituality.
As part-time Media Specialist, Jessica Deskin manages all aspects of NTI’s digital marketing and social media content, including: online business listings, ratings and ranking, website (WordPress) and social media design/content management (Facebook, LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Google My Business), Google Analytics, on- and off-page SEO, keyword optimization and site audits, competitor analysis, paid and organic traffic and ad management, as well as email marketing through blogs and a monthly in-house client newsletter.
With 20+ years of customer service experience and operations/event management, from hospitality to sales, over a decade running her own business as a music school director/educator, plus 2 years as COO building and running a start-up online subscription-based application for adults in jazz, and Executive Director of an international jazz camp for adults, Jessica brings a wealth and variety of skills to any role. Her strengths are in customer analysis, community, and creative marketing/messaging, giving the customer a ‘voice’.
Outside of work, Jessica is an accomplished educator, singer-songwriter and performer, and enjoys spending time in live music venues, with friends and family, and traveling.
