Sean Williams is the President/CEO of Now Technologies, Inc. (NTI) with over 20 years of business experience and over 30 years of technical experience. Founder of Now Technologies in 1997, with the vision of focusing on State governments, local municipalities, and commercial clients in the MD-VA-PA-NC areas, Mr. Williams quickly grew from a startup to a multi-million company in less than 5 years. Over the years NTI has maintained a company emphasis on Network Operations, Network Engineering, Network Security, Microsoft Technologies, Help Desk (Tier I-III), and all aspects of Professional Information Technology Services.
In addition to his executive responsibilities with Now Technologies, Mr. Williams serves as the CEO of Now Applications, LLC; a software engineering company focused on providing unique and targeted software solutions to commercial and government organizations. By leveraging Now Technologies’ 20+ year history of delivering innovative technology solutions to its customers, Now Applications provides efficient assessments of legacy IT applications and develops budget-sensitive alternatives. We accomplish this by employing state-of-the-art rapid application development tools and methodologies to customize solutions that meet the unique challenges of our customers.
Mr. Williams obtained his Bachelors of Science in Computer Science from University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC) and holds a Master’s of Science in Computer Science from the John Hopkins School of Engineering. Aside from business and family, Mr. Williams is an avid Washington Capitals fan and a member of the Potomac Curling Club.
As Vice President at Now Technologies, Inc (NTI), Matt is responsible for day-to-day operations that include the commercial division and State/Local Government division; and contract vehicles throughout the State of Maryland and surrounding areas. Within the commercial division, Matt manages a team of IT professionals with skill sets ranging from Tier I to Tier III in support of small and medium businesses in the Baltimore/Washington region. Matt’s team provides on-site/remote support and technical consulting to a wide array of industries such as local and international labor unions, construction companies, accounting firms, business consultants, law firms, insurance agencies, mortgage brokers, medical practice, local government municipalities and police departments.
Matt Deskin, a native Marylander, grew up in a tech-savvy family and had a knack for problem solving at a young age. As a Systems Engineer, his knowledge and experience is in planning, implementing and supporting Microsoft Windows-based network infrastructures. With more than 15 years in IT consulting, his true passion has always been customer service. Matt is a friendly, outgoing professional that can sell with a smile, delivering cost-effective IT solutions for any business. In his free time, Matt loves a trip to the beach with his family. Some of Matt’s hobbies are singing, cooking, home improvement, skiing, playing and coaching softball. Grateful for an amazing group of family and friends, he’s always up for hosting a backyard barbeque.
LaVerne has 26 years of experience in human resources. She has worked for the Federal, State and Local government as well as the non-profit sector. She began her career in human resources with Marshal Heights Community Development Organization. Hired as the Office/Systems Administrator, she saw the need for the organization to better utilize the skills of the staff as well as give the employees an avenue to address their needs and concerns.
Coupled with her education and ability to learn quickly, adept to any environment, be a good listener, the ability to communicate with people, and an interest in organizational structure she was able to start-up two human resources units. Her diverse experience in human resources allowed her to land the Human Resources positions with Now Technologies, Inc.
LaVerne enjoys working with charitable organizations, bowling, attending Redskin games, spending time with family and reading.
SMB Technical Team
Lead Systems Integrator
Now Technologies’Lead Systems Integrator, James Wise, is responsible for systems infrastructure and design and escalation support for tickets. Specializing in Meraki, Microsoft technologies and Barracuda, James brings six years of IT industry experience and holds leading industry certifications, including MCSA and Security+.
Outside of work, James enjoys hockey, golf, scuba diving, and spending time with his two sons.
Now Technologies’ Systems Engineer, Greg Franzen, is responsible for rapid response to client issues and responding to alerts and automated notifications. Greg has 11 years of industry experience and holds A+, Net+, Security+, and CySA+ certifications.
Desktop Support Technician
Now Technologies’ desktop support technician, Jihad Watkins, is responsible for supporting NTI clients with IT support and responsible for the CTC tower project for Prince Georges County. Specializing in networking technologies Jihad brings two years of IT industry experience and holds leading industry certifications, including A+ and Network+. Outside of work, Jihad enjoys basketball, gaming, and music outings.
Andrew Facey, Systems Engineer, has over 20 years of experience in the Information Technology industry. He has significant hands-on experience encompassing Data Communications, Systems Engineering & Integration, Microsoft Small Business Solutions, and Microsoft Messaging Infrastructure. He holds numerous Microsoft Certifications, including MCTS, MCSE and MCSA. Outside of work, Andrew enjoys cooking, extreme sports, and charitable work.
INET NOC Manager
Prince George’s County INET, NOC Manager, David Blevins is responsible for day to day operation and management of the Network Operations Center and staffing on the INET. He works with County, State and Municipal governments to maintain, secure and grow the INET and its fiber optic infrastructure. David is also a member of the US Homeland Security Information Network and certified for Emergency Management and Critical Infrastructure Support.
Outside of work, David enjoys spending time with his family and making Saturday home visits with his Pastor to those that are home-bound.
